The Conversation for Chapter 6

Hey!! This book just keeps getting better and better, don't you think? These are some questions I had about the book.
1- What did Florence do to Nellie?
2- What is your favorite sport?
Mine has to be basketball. It is very fun to play and I enjoy being able to play it against other schools. We play Atlantic this Thursday. :) Have fun reading, because I am.

Chapter 6

That sounds interesting.I think that Sophia wanted Florence to find the dolls in the attic trunk.

1- Why do YOU think that Mrs. Dawson won't believe Florence when she says she saw Sophia?
2- What is your favorite color?
Mine has to be green. I like darker greens.

Chapter 5

While I was reading chapter 4 I was kind of getting goose bumps. It was really creepy. I don't know what the fountain ment by HERE AND THERE AND EVERYWHERE. It might mean that Sophia is everywhere by Florence.

Here are a few more questions to think about:
1- What was in the trunk in the attic?
2- Where did you go for Thanksgiving?
I went to my cousins house in Des Moines. We played outside because it was really nice. I hope you had a great Thanksgiving!! :)

Chapter 4

Hey Faith!!!!
Thanks for wishing me luck! My team ended up placing 17 out of 32 teams.

I thought Nellie seemed very nice. I think that Nellie wants to become friends with Florence, but she is afraid.

How about we go easy this week? I can't believe that we only have 2 days this week!!! These are this weeks questions. :)

1- what did the fountain in the garden say?
2- What is your favorite Thanksgiving desert?
Mine definitely has to be creamy pumpkin pie with whipped cream or cheese cake with strawberries. Happy Thanksgiving!

Assigment 2 - Chapter 3

Hey Faith!
I am going to be gone tomorrow because my team made it to state for Mock Trial. If you want to read ahead more you can. Here is some questions to ponder.
1- What do you think about Nellie.
2- who is in the house staff?
3- what do you think about James and his sickness?

My thoughs on the other questions were..
1 cruthfeild hall
2 her relations thought that she was coming the next day.
3 Her aunt really didn't like her.

Assignment 2

Chapter one, I thought, was very interesting.I can't wait to see what happens to Florence at Cruthfeild Hall!!!

This is what I came up with while I was reading....
1- Florence Crutchfeild
2- Thomas Crutchfeild, her uncle, sent for her.
3- A fussy lady, a Bible reader, and a rough fellow.

How about we read chapter 2. We'll just keep reading at what ever pace we need.I will assign a chapter whenever you get done reading. Don't feel rushed.

2- Why was there no one to meet her?
3- What do you think about the way Aunt Eugenie acted when she saw Florence?

Week 1

Hey Faith,
I like cupcakes too, especially the chocolate ones with filling in it. I was thinking that for the first week that we can read chapter 1. Some questions to think about are while your reading: 1- Who is the main character, 2- Why is she leaving the orphanage? 3- Name 3 other people that were in the coach. This is just food for the mind and it will help us understand the book a little easier. Tell me if we can read faster, or if this is a good pace. Have fun!! :)
